Dog themed exhibition held in Beijing to greet Spring Festival

The Chinese Lunar New Year will start on Feb 16, marking start of the Year of the Dog.

To celebrate the New Year, An exhibition entitled "Best Wishes from the Auspicious Dog" opened at the Capital Museum in Beijing on Feb 8, 2017.

The exhibit aims to help visitors understand the connotations, wisdom and historical culture of the Chinese zodiac animals through displays and explanations of relevant relics.

Taking the relationship between dogs and humans as the main theme, the exhibition has collected cultural relics, pictures, historical facts to show that dogs have accompanied us throughout history.

It also intends to demonstrate dogs' auspicious and festival folk culture.

The exhibit will last till March 18.
