Su wins gold at World Indoor Tour men's 60m

Chinese sprinter Su Bingtian set a new Asian record for the men's 60m, reaching 6.43 seconds in Dusseldorf on Tuesday, the second stop on the six-meeting International Association of Athletics Federations World Indoor Tour, after he broke his record with 6.47 seconds just three days before in Karlsruhe.
Blasting off at the start, the 28-year-old Chinese record holder built a visible lead by 20 meters, and added to it with each stride before surging past the line in 6.43 to become the joint fifth fastest ever over the distance.
After he posed by the scoreboard displaying his latest Asian record, he thanked the appreciative sell-out crowd.
"Thank you," he said in English. "I enjoyed this party."
The silver and bronze medals went to Yunier Perez from Spain and the United States' Michael Rodgers, who were each credited with 6.52.
The IAAF World Indoor Tour is comprised of six indoor meetings, with athletes competing for points in designated tour disciplines.
The 2018 tour will be staged over the course of 22 days, with further stops in Madrid, Boston, Torun and Glasgow.
