China to air documentary on ancient Chinese crafts

BEIJING -- China Central Television (CCTV), the country's national broadcaster, will release a documentary on ancient Chinese crafts starting Tuesday night.
Season 2 of the documentary "Inheritance" will debut on CCTV-4, a channel mainly targeting overseas viewers, in Chinese language.
The new season consists of seven episodes lasting 50 minutes each, covering five intangible heritages, including falconry, kung fu and ethnic Miao embroidery.
The crew of the documentary say they hope to show the everlasting charm of Chinese culture by exploring it in depth, along with inheriting and innovating in accordance with the requirements of the times.
