Trump approves tariffs on imported washers, solar cells

WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump has approved recommendations to impose safeguard tariffs on imported large residential washing machines and imported solar cells and modules, US Trade Representative (USTR) Robert Lighthizer said Monday, amid worries about intense trade frictions between America and other major trading partners.
