China's domestic films last year generated a total of 30.104 billion yuan ($4.63 billion), contributing 53.84 percent to China's annual box office revenue of 55.91 billion yuan, according to data from State-owned online movie news portal 1905.
Wolf Warrior 2, Never Say Die and Kung Fu Yoga came in at the top three spots in 2017, with a total earning of 5.68 billion yuan, 2.21 billion yuan and 1.75 billion yuan, respectively.
