Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei to hold skiing competition

A skiing competition for youth in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions will take place at Yuyang International Ski Resort in Beijing on Dec 29, sports authorities from Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei announced jointly in Beijing on Friday.
Hosted by the China Sport School Federation, the first Youth Skiing Competition in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei regions will see an estimated 700 participants, aged 7 to 26, including both professionals and amateurs.
The competition is planned to be an annual event, and is a project under the Framework Agreement on Collaborative Development of Junior Sports in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Regions signed by sports officials from the three places on Friday.
The agreement stresses shared training resources for reserve talent, an upgrade of referee quality and an enlarged scope of sports activities in the area.
