Business confidence in China increased significantly in 2017, according to a new report from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Institute of Management Accountants.

According to the Global Economic Conditions Survey, based on a survey on 1,277 accountants around the world, the business confidence index in China surpassed 30 points in the third quarter, the highest level since 2011.

“Based on its huge population and large market demand, along with the government’s active financial policies, China remains an active destination for business activities,” said Jenny Gu, vice-president of ACCA.

According to the survey, Chinese accountants’ confidence in the domestic investment sector increased steadily in 2017, with the Chinese index surpassing the global average in the middle of the year.

The survey showed global business confidence also increased since the third quarter of 2017, following the rebound of global exports.
