China's non-manufacturing sector records slower expansion in October

BEIJING - China's non-manufacturing sector expanded at a slightly slower pace in October, according to official data released Tuesday.

The non-manufacturing purchasing managers' index (PMI) came in at 54.3 in October, down from 55.4 in September, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

A reading above 50 indicates expansion, while a reading below that reflects contraction.
