Becoming a member of a flock makes one conform to the natural rules. Regardless of whether someone is a loner, or part of the masses, we have much in common.

The Isolation series of photos was developed mostly accidentally by photographer Tang Lingxiao. Tang said she did not intend to combine heterogeneous spirits and an appeal to mass tastes, but the series is really a composition of people, objects and situations, a depiction of a vague and diverse state of mind. The pictures are between the ordinary and the extraordinary, the melding of reality and dreams.
