Major media to cover National Day evening gala tonight

An evening gala will be held at Tian'anmen Square as part of the 60th National Day celebration on Thursday evening, Xinhuanet reported. The gala will start at 20:00 and last about two hours.

Nine CCTV channels, including channels 1, 3, 4 and 9, will start televising the gala live at 19:53.

China Radio International will broadcast the evening gala in several languages including Mandarin and English from 19:30. China National Radio will air the gala live at 19:45.

The evening gala will also be covered by major websites such as People.com.cn, Xinhuanet and CCTV.com.
