Multi-media Olympic education resource bank passes appraisal(BOCOG)Updated: 2007-04-30 17:19 A multi-media Olympic education resource bank created by the Capital Institute of Physical Education (CIPE) has passed the appraisal by an experts panel in Beijing. The education tool covers the Olympic ideals and organizations, Olympic culture and education, the Olympic Movement and China, the socio-economic aspect of the Olympics, the Ancient Olympics, the Summer Olympics, the Winter Olympics, the Paralympic Games and various other Olympic education materials. It combines scripts, photographs and audio/video materials and can thus serve as a self-learning resource for students of all levels and as a teaching tool for teachers who wish to engage in Olympic education. The experts said the resource bank has expanded the choice of educational tools and can play a positive role in increasing learners' interest and extending Olympic education. Sources indicate that the Olympic Studies Center has sent an application to be able to use the multi-media Olympic education resource bank. |
