DPRK willing to improve ties with hostile countries

PYONGYANG - The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) would like to improve relations with hostile countries and realize normalization of the ties if they drop their anti-DPRK policy and respect its sovereignty and dignity, a leading DPRK newspaper Rodong Sinmun said Tuesday.

The DPRK insists on its independent principle, makes consideration and judgment by itself and resolves all its issues in its own belief, an article issued by the newspaper said.

Other countries are never allowed to infringe its sovereignty, interfere in its internal affairs and rule it, the article said, adding that the construction of a great, prosperous and powerful nation needs a peaceful environment.

To prevent a war from breaking out on the Korean Peninsula, the DPRK will fight actively to oppose the aggression and war plots of imperialism, guard the peace of the peninsula, Asia and the world, it said.

The article that stressed every nation has the right to select its belief and system, adding that the cooperation and friendship among nations should exceed the differences on ideology and system.

The DPRK would like to develop friendly cooperation with neighborly countries on the principle of independent and international justice, it said.
