Hong Kong's sixth confirmed A(H1N1) flu case involved a 53-year-old Chinese man who arrived in Hong Kong from San Francisco by air last Friday. He developed a fever when being on board the flight which was shared by the quarantined US visitor who entered Macao via Hong Kong later.

The US man tested negative for the virus after the Bureau got in touch with him with the help from its HK counterpart, said the Bureau in a press release. The man will remain quarantined in a facility of the Bureau for medical observation till May 29.

Meanwhile, another three Macao residents who developed fevers and other respiratory symptoms after traveling back from the US or Japan have tested negative for the virus and two of them were still in quarantine, said the Health Bureau.

By far, there were no "possible" or "confirmed" H1N1 cases detected in the Macao SAR, according to the Bureau.
