Harris signed a contract with Zhejiang promising to play in the eastern Chinese club after the end of his contract expired with Huston Rocket.

But Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank Club was informed afterwards that Harris  had decided not to play for the club for some family issues.

The club expressed its understanding for Harris' failure to honor his deal before Harris announced to join another CBA team in Shanghai four days later.

The Chouzhou Bank Club appealed to China Basketball Association (CBA) which suspended Harris's registration. The Club said that everything would open to discuss as long as Harris apologizes.
