LONDON - World number one Justine Henin resumes her bid to complete a career grand slam at Wimbledon on Wednesday, where matches from three different rounds of the tournament are due to be played.
Henin faces Serena Williams in a Centre Court quarter-final, but must first wait for Venus Williams and Maria Sharapova as well as Andy Roddick and Paul-Henri Mathieu to complete their fourth round matches.
Even further behind schedule, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will hope to emerge finally from the third round which has stretched into the middle Wednesday for the first time in 25 years.
French Open champion Nadal and 28th seed Robin Soderling return for a third day level at 4-4 in the fifth set. Djokovic and unseeded Nicolas Kiefer continue at one set all.
However top seed Henin has dodged the rain to sail through four rounds, losing just fifteen games. The younger Williams sister, the last woman to collect all four grand slam trophies, now stand stands in her way.
In Wednesday's other quarter-final, last-eight debutants 18th seed Marion Bartoli of France and Dutch 31st seed Michaella Krajicek play on Court Two.
