Scholes pays tribute on Ferguson anniversary
(Reuters)
Updated: 2006-11-04 16:04 Scholes said he was amazed at how the manager, now 64, had coped with the pressure for so long. "It's the biggest club in the world and if you lose two or three games it's a crisis," he said. "But he is so used to it now that he doesn't let anything faze him or any criticism affect him. "I don't think you'll see anyone at a club for so long again, not at a top club anyway." Asked how he might describe Ferguson's influence on him to his grandchildren, Scholes replied: "He was a great man, someone who gave young lads a chance and made me what I am today, and a lot of other young players what they are today."
