Lily Allen's little brother bares all on opening night of Equus

Replacing Daniel Radcliffe is a hard act to follow, but by the looks of these pictures Alfie Allen has nothing to worry about.

Allen stripped off for the first time when Equus opened in Chichester on Thursday night, baring all as he took on the Harry Potter star's former role.

The propect of being on stage naked is daunting enough, but Allen had the added pressure of performing in front of his family as pop star sister Lily, and dad, Keith were among the audience.

Allen plays the leading part as the troubled, horse-obsessed character at the centre of Peter Shaffer's play, co-starring alongside Laura O' Toole, Radcliffe's ex-girlfriend.

Simon Callow plays the psychiatrist who helps the youth after his torrid ritual with the horses.

Equus dramatist Peter Shaffer spotted the 21-year-old actor in Joe Wright's film Atonement, around the same time Equus producer David Pugh was listening to the explicit version of Lilly's song "Alfie" on his iPod, where Ms Allen suggests her younger brother should get out of bed, "cos it's nearly half past three".

Meanwhile, Radcliffe will be playing the same role on Broadway with his Equus and Harry Potter co-star Richard Griffiths.
