To ensure the easy movement of passengers arriving in Shanghai's Pudong and Hongqiao airports, the city's transport dept has allocated more buses and extended the midnight service from Hongqiao to the Lujiazui area, as of Sept 30.

The midnight line extends the old route (Terminal 2 to Renmin Square) to South Pudong Rd and Pudong Ave (Lujiazui), stopping at Jing’an Temple (Mid Yan’an Rd and Huashan Rd), Renmin Square (East Yan’an Rd and Mid Zhejiang Rd), and Lujiazui. It leaves from Gate 1 (Arrivals), Terminal 2, running from 10:30 pm to 45 minutes after the final arrival every day. Tickets cost 10-16 yuan.

The midnight buses at Pudong International Airport depart from Gate 5 (Arrivals), Terminal 1, and the boarding are of Airport Lines 1 and 2, Terminal 2, going down Longyang Rd (Longyang Rd and Fangdian Rd), Dongfang Rd (Century Ave Metro station), Renmin Square (East Yan’an Rd and Mid Zhejiang Rd), Jing’an Temple (Mid Yan’an Rd and Huashan Rd), Hongxu Rd (West Yan’an Rd and Hongxu Rd), and Hongqiao Airport (Terminal 1).
