Guests enjoy a Cultural Soiree at Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2012

Guests from both home and abroad attended a Cultural Soiree of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2012, which was sponsored by Tianjin’s Municipal Government on Sept 12, enorth.com.cn reported. Schwab said he was impressed with the dramatic development of Tianjin in recent years and thanked its residents for their hospitality.

Huang Xingguo, mayor of Tianjin’s municipal government and Schwab, chairman of the World Economic Forum, addressed the conference. Huang Xingguo welcomed the guests in his speech. “Where we are standing here is the living room of the Tianjin people. It is the combination of theatres, galleries, museums, natural museums, a kids center and shopping center,” said Huang. During the Soiree, guests also enjoyed kites, paper cutting and clay sculptures with Tianjin characteristics.
