Hanhai Zibo Life Science Park, the brainchild of Beijing's Hanhai Investment Management Group and six companies in the Zibo Hi-Tech Development Zone in China's eastern province of Shandong, opened in Silicon Valley in the United States on June 1 after the success of Hanhai Z-Park, co-launched by Zhongguancun.

Based on a win-win model, the park is committed to become a platform for China and the US to learn about each other and promote reciprocal cooperation as well as innovative development.

Silicon Valley, situated in the San Francisco Bay, is known as the center of the biomedicine industry in the US and even the world at large. While Zibo city, as a national incubator of innovative medicines and home to several leading bio-medical companies, is one of the most important manufacturer of analgesic-antipyretics in Asia.

Hanhai Investment, based on the success of six science parks in downtown Beijing and five national incubators of new medicines, also launched the Sino-US Business Innovation Center, acting as a platform to promote scientific and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
