To meet the requirements set by the Ministry of Railways, the Chengdu East Railway Station in Sichuan province launched a campaign last month in order to improve service.

Apart from ensuring that no passengers would file even one complaint, the campaign is aimed at making their trip a pleasant one, said station staff.

The station has set up the so-called Playground Showing Love for Children where children can kill the time when their parents wait for the train.

It has installed 21 automatic ticket vending machines and its staff members are available when passengers do not know how to use them.
