Chen Gang, secretary of the municipal party committee, said that he is very proud to see Liuzhou in the top ten. Liuzhou was a city that had been misunderstood; it gave a bad impression as it strengthened the development of industry and ignored environmental protection. It surprises lots of friends who come from outside places to see the new face of Liuzhou for it has gradually become a beautiful city.

"The honour comes just at the right time. Tt has truly reflected the development of Liuzhou to the outside world and given Liuzhou people greater confidence and motivation. We must develop Liuzhou into a city with 'Five virtues and five goods', filled with happy families with a sense of pride", Chen Gang said.
