SLOT Project hails first personal work

A meeting was held in Xi'an last Sunday for the publishing of the English version of Zhang Wanzhun's Hong De Ji（Hongde Selection), as the first personal work of the Shaanxi Literature Overseas Translation (SLOT) Project.

The project is carried out by two means, according to Lei Tao, executive vice-chairman of the Shaanxi Writers Association (SWA). One is to promote Shaanxi's literary works by SWA and Shaanxi Translation Association and the other is by individuals. The publishing of Hong De Ji is a successful model of the second means, he explained.

He also hopes more world-influential works will come out of Shaanxi.
