Vault managers get death for bank theft

Ma Xiangjing, 37, who worked as a vault manager at the the Handan branch of the Agricultural Bank of China in Hebei Province received the judgement at the Handan Intermediate People's Court on August 9, 2007. He and Ren Xiaofeng, 34, were convicted of theft of nearly 51 million yuan (US$6.5 million) from the bank and were given death penalties after the first-stance hearings. [Xinhua]
