Three mysterious visitors have just arrived in Beijing. They are Miga, Quatchi and Sumi, mascots for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

The three mascots come from British Columbia's "First Nations" legends, in which people transform into animals and spirits that have amazing strengths and abilities - just like Miga, Quatchi and Sumi.

Mischievous Miga is a young sea-bear who loves snowboarding. Quatchi, a Sasquatch from the mysterious forests of Canada, is a shy giant with a furry, brown beard.

His favorite Olympic sport is hockey. Sumi is an animal spirit that flies through the mountains of British Columbia and protects the environment.

British Columbia has set up a pavilion in Beijing at the southeast corner of Tian'anmen Square that will be open from now until September and the charming trio will be on hand to welcome visitors.
