Olympic Village partly opens

The Olympic Village for the coming Beijing Games partially opens on Sunday to vehicles with Olympic permits, China Central Television reported.

The Olympic Village, set to provide accommodation and leisure infrastructure to 16,000 Olympic competitors, is inaccessible to vehicles without permits at present as all pathways to the complex being blockaded.

As to the traffic service for the Olympic Village, regular buses are scheduled for each hour from the Main Press Center (MPC) and the International Broadcast Center (IBC) to the village between 7:50 am - 8:50 pm after its official opening on July 27. And more buses will be running every half hour during the rush hour of the Games.

Up till now, volunteers serving the Olympic Village are ready in their positions.
