The deadline of the bid for the design schemes of the victory ceremony costumes to be used in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games has been postponed by a whole month to July 25, 2007, according to BOCOG Cultural Activities Department.

The campaign has received enthusiastic responses from individual designers and professional organizations since it kicked off on May 23. To give designers more time, the organizers decided to extend the bid.

As it was annouced earlier, the complete set of costumes includes the medal/flower bearer costume (for ladies), the presenter escort costume (for ladies), the athlete escort costume (for ladies) and the flag bearer costume (for men).

After the deadline, the submissions will be appraised and the short-listed entries will be reviewed by the Executive Board of the Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG), which will determine the prize winners.
