President Enterprises becomes noodles sponsor

The Beijing Organizing Committee for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad (BOCOG) announced that President Enterprises (China) Investment Co., Ltd. was selected as the Noodles Sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

As the Official Sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, President Enterprises will provide funds and noodle products to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, BOCOG, Chinese Olympic Committee and Chinese Olympic Teams to compete in Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. In return, President Enterprises has rights to use the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games symbol for promotional purposes and to participate in BOCOG activities.

BOCOG Executive Vice-President and Secretary General Wang Wei extended his appreciation to President Enterprises on its participation in the sponsorship program of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

"President Enterprises is a famous Chinese brand in the category of noodles. We welcome President Enterprises to join the elite group of sponsors of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. We believe that, with its extensive social impact and high-quality products, President Enterprises will be able to meet the expectations and demands of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games," Wang Wei Said.

"Sponsors' support is crucial to the staging of the Olympic Games. BOCOG will continue to take effective measures to strengthen its cooperation with its sponsors and safeguard their rights and benefits." Wang added.

Mr. Lin Wuchung, the General Manager of President Enterprises stated: "The corporate culture of President Enterprises is in line with the Olympic spirit of 'faster, higher and stronger.' We are greatly honored that President Enterprises is chosen as the Noodles Sponsor of the 2008 Olympic Games. While establishing better brand image through the unique Olympic marketing platform, President Enterprises will also strive to promote BOCOG's three concepts of 'Green Olympics, Hi-tech Olympics and People's Olympics'."

Lin indicated that President Enterprises has cultivated Mainland China market for over 10 years. In recent years, the company has set up distribution channels through out all cities and countryside aggressively. President Enterprises has also sponsored some other international and national culture and sports activities.

Since the Beijing 2008 Olympic Marketing Plan was launched on September 1, 2003, 11 enterprises namely Bank of China, China Network, Sinopec, CNPC, China Mobile, Volkswagen (China), adidas, Johnson & Johnson, Air China, PICC P&C and State Grid, have been selected as Beijing 2008 Partners.

The joining of President Enterprises marks the selection of the tenth sponsor of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. The other nine sponsors are UPS, Haier, Budweiser, SOHU, Yili, Tsingtao Beer, Yanjing Beer, BHP Billiton, and Heng Yuan Xiang.

The eight Beijing 2008 Exclusive Suppliers announced to date are COFCO Wines & Spirits (Greatwall Wine), Mengna, Beifa, Vantage, YADU, Effem Foods (Beijing), Qianxihe and Synear. And the one Beijing 2008 Supplier selected so far is Crystal CG.

The 11 IOC Worldwide Olympic Partners Coco-Cola, Atos Origin, General Electric, Kodak, Lenovo, Manulife, McDonald's, Omega, Panasonic, Samsung and Visa, will also provide financial, product, technical and service support for the staging and operation of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
