JP Turtle Taxi gets popular
日本'龟速'出租车受追捧
Japanese Turtle Taxi, created by the Sanwa Kotsu Group, has been steadily growing in popularity ever since it started in December 2013, foreign media reported. The Sanwa Kotsu Group designated 10 of their 500 cabs in Yokohama as "turtle taxis", and specifically trained cab drivers to accelerate and decelerate as gently as possible. When a customer gets into a Turtle Taxi, they have to press a button labeled "Yukkuri" (which means slow) to let the driver know that the drive has got to be a slow one. The service is quite popular in Japan with senior citizens, pregnant women, mothers with young children and tourists who would like to take in more of the city while commuting.(See photo)
据外媒报道，日本三和交通集团去年12月推出了一项"龟速"出租车服务，至今，该服务的需求一直在稳步增长。三和交通将横滨市500辆出租车中的10辆指定为"龟速出租车"，且每一辆都配有训练有素的出租车司机，平稳控制车速。乘客上车后，按下"Yukkuri"(慢速)按钮便可提醒司机减速慢行。这项服务在日本退休老人、孕妇、带孩子的母亲以及想要观赏城市风景的游客中大受欢迎。(见图)
