Big snow hits Lugu Lake

According to the Lugu Lake scenic administration, a big snow storm hit Lugu Lake on the night of Jan 9. The two-way roads in and out of the Lugu Lake scenic spots were closed due to the icy roads.

There are two roads entering Lugu Lake: Provincial Road No 307 through Sichuan’s Yanyuan county and another road through Lijiang’s Ninglang county in Yunnan province.

On the night of Jan 9, Yanyuan county and Lijiang were both hit by snow. To prevent traffic accidents, roads entering and leaving Lugu Lake from both counties were closed. Meanwhile, shuttle buses from Lugu Lake were also canceled. At present, the restoration time is still uncertain.
