Jade Stone Cultural Festival opens in Lijiang ancient town

Lijiang ancient town’s first Jade Stone Cultural Festival opens on Dec 9, Lijiang Daily reported.

More than 40 exhibitors from different cities in Southwest China’s Yunnan province, including Yingjiang and Ruili, will join the exhibitions during the festival. About 1,500 jade stone and jade art wares will be exhibited until Spring Festival.

"Lijiang has a diverse culture. The Jade Stone Cultural Festival provides a communication platform for Lijiang’s Naxi culture and jadeite jade culture. Meanwhile, the festival also provides a communication and cooperation platform for domestic and international enterprises," said He Jiguang, vice-chairman of the Lijiang municipal committee of the CPPCC.

The Jade Stone Cultural Festival is sponsored by the Lijiang Federation of Industry and Commerce, Lijiang ancient city people’s government and Lijiang Mufu Museum.
