A meeting between Karamay government officials and representatives from Pakistan's Ruiyang Aviation Company was held at the Xuelian Hotel in Karamay, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, on May 20.
Fatah Sherbaty, chief executive officer of Ruiyang Aviation Company visited the city of Karamay to meet with Zhao Wenquan, secretary of the Karamay municipal committee, and Zhang Hongyan, mayor of Karamay, seeking Ruiyang's first cooperation with Karamay in the aviation industry.

Zhao Wenquan said that China and Pakistan have a long history of cooperation, with Karamay and Pakistan's Gwadar establishing a friendly relationship thanks to the Belt and Road Initiative.
Zhao hopes to see more cooperation between Karamay and Ruiyang Aviation Company, especially in the future opening of the first flight linking Karamay and Gwadar.

Fatah Sherbaty said that Ruiyang's experience in building air corridors will greatly benefit the cooperation between Karamay and Gwadar, adding that the two cities have an extensive field in which to cooperate with each other.
