A Russian-themed restaurant will be opened in Karamay city, in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in July, the restaurant owner Guangcheng International Trade Co announced on June 23.

The restaurant will be the first economic cooperation project launched between Iskitim in Russia and Karamay since the two cities established sister-cities relationship in 2011.

The restaurant will cover around 300 square meters in downtown Karamay and accommodate more than one hundred.

It will serve Chinese and Russian food, offer a buffet, and sell native products from Central Asian regions.

According to the manager of Guangcheng International Trade Co the restaurant has employed senior Russian chefs to provide authentic Russian cuisine, and all the main ingredients including spices are brought from Russia.

The manager said that a Russian style of decoration has been completed, and that once all the procedures are finished the restaurant will be open to the public, ready to satisfy Karamay people's curiosity and appetite.
