The Karamay Municipal Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) listened to key proposals for the second time on July 11.

Proposals focused on the cultivation of Karamay’s export-oriented enterprises and the acceleration of construction in Karamay’s agricultural products processing park.

After listening, CPPCC members themselves gave suggestions on investment opportunities, project implementation, attracting investors and streamlining the work process.

This year, the Karamay Planning and Economic Committee helped local enterprises develop business abroad and attracted 11 equity investment enterprises to Karamay, whose revenue has reached over 460 million yuan ($74.06 million).

Additionally, the city’s comprehensive agricultural development zone will focus on developing dairy products, meat processing, feed processing, fruit and vegetable processing, and logistics. The planned area spans 19.75 square kilometers.

In January, Karamay district and the comprehensive agricultural development zone appointed workers to manage investment and industrial communications.

Wang Gengsheng, vice mayor of Karamay, required related departments to implement follow-up work related to the key proposals.

Wang Xinming, CPPCC vice chairman, said the departments highly value the proposals and hopes they will work hard to implement them.
