A cooperation agreement was signed between Karamay Vocational and Technical College and Azerbaijan National Petroleum University on June 4, which will increase exchanges and cooperation in further education and scientific research.
A delegation made up of Karamay officials, enterprise and college representatives visited Azerbaijan from June 3 to 6.
According to the agreement, outstanding Karamay students can study at Karamay Vocational and Technical College for the first two years and then go to Azerbaijan National Petroleum University to pursue a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate degrees. When they graduate, they will get an undergraduate diploma from Azerbaijan National Petroleum University and a graduation certificate from Karamay Vocational and Technical College.
“The contract opens a new channel for Karamay Russian language majors to study overseas and provides a strong support for the region’s petroleum enterprises that run businesses abroad,” said Wang He, dean of the Karamay Vocational and Technical College.
Zhan Yali, deputy secretary general of the Karamay government, called on both sides to cooperate in wider fields including business and tourism.
