Orchestra to stage performance at Shengjing Grand Theatre

The Shenyang Symphony Orchestra will stage a performance at the Shengjing Grand Theatre on June 20 -- in Shenyang, capital city of Northeast China's Liaoning province -- according to local reports.

A spokesman said it had been nearly five months since the orchestra's last performance.

Due to novel coronavirus epidemic prevention and control measures, only 30 percent of all tickets are sold and members of the audience need to purchase the tickets with their real names.

The spokesman said that following the announcement of the performance, a large number of people called to inquire, greatly looking forward to the experience.

The Symphony No 3 in E flat major, also known as the Eroica by Beethoven, will be performed on the night, paying a tribute to people who fought against the epidemic, according to the spokesman.
