Liaoning launches winter tourism activities

The 2019-2020 winter tourism activities were launched in Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Nov 28, at a news conference held by the Information Office of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government.

Wang Xiaojiang, deputy director of the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that the activities aim to promote the winter economy in the province -- especially in areas of winter tourism, winter culture, winter sports and winter sports equipment research and manufacturing.

Officials said this year’s winter activities will feature winter sports, hot springs and the traditional culture of the Manchu ethnic group and Northeast China.

Tourism routes featuring revolutionary culture, rural sightseeing, sports and healthcare were also launched at the conference, to attract visitors from all over the world.
