Industrial AI conference spotlights frontier science, technology

The first International Conference on Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) was held in Shenyang, Liaoning province on July 23, attended by some of the most renowned experts and scholars in the field.

The State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries of Northeastern University initiated the event to promote the integration of AI and industrial manufacturing, attracting heavyweights to make various reports. The attendees included Chai Tianyou and Wang Tianran, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

During the conference, the latest industrial AI achievements were discussed in terms of theory and application with special focus on intelligent sensing and modeling of industrial processes, computational intelligence, AI-driven collaborative autonomous control, and AI-driven industrial process optimization, among other fields.

The first Automation and Artificial Intelligence Frontier Summit was held concurrently with the conference, including forums centering on control science, complex systems, intelligent modeling of complex systems, AI-driven automation and many other advanced technologies. The Fourth China Seminar on Nonlinear Systems and Control was also held.
