The 13th Fruit and Vegetable Processing Industry and Academy Seminar opened in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on July 18.
The three-day event was hosted by the fruit and vegetable processing technology branch of the Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology, and was organized by the College of Food Science at Shenyang Agricultural University.
More than 400 people from universities, research institutes, and companies attended the seminar, including those from China Agricultural University and Zhejiang University.
Participants discussed topics such as the links between the nutrition of fruit and vegetables and human health. They also discussed new products, technology, the latest equipment in the fruit and vegetable processing industry, as well as fruit and vegetable product processing safety and quality control --- aiming to promote further development in the fruit and vegetable product processing sector.
