Shenyang to get new metro lines

Construction work on two new metro lines has recently been completed in Shenyang, capital of Liaoning province, according to Shenyang Metro Group on Aug 27.
The main structures of Metro Line 9 and Line 10 are now complete, with installation of the track currently ongoing.
With 23 stations, Line 9 covers a track length of 64.85 kilometers, with 57 km currently complete.
Line 10 has 21 stations, with 52.9 km of track already finished, accounting for 88.8 percent of the total length.
The trains that will eventually serve the two lines have a length of about 118 meters, with 240 seats. The trains are designed to run at maximum speeds of 80 kilometers per hour.
Line 9 will start trial operations in May next year.
