High-quality route 17: Touring for fitness and exercise

Recommended sites: Litie No 8 Football Park, Siwei Club, Shenyang Football Museum, Gothia Cup World Soccer Park, Liaoning National Fitness Outdoor Activity Base.

Litie No 8 Football Park covers 45 hectares and includes soccer-themed sports function and recreational function zones complete with leisure plazas, green landscapes and hydrophilic platforms. The park also holds Northeast China’s only indoor football stadium to pass the highest level of FIFA two-star certification.

The Siwei Club’s 35,000-square-meter building is divided into four floors holding 125 professional plastic badminton courts, four tennis courts, 30 table tennis venues, four football fields and four basketball courts.

On 2,800 sq m of Changbai Island Forest Park in Heping district, Shenyang Football Museum holds five exhibition halls that introduce visitors to Liaoning’s football history and local champions. The museum is equipped with numerous smart devices and a high-tech interactive area with a smart stadium utilizing virtual and augmented reality technologies to offer comprehensive training.

Shenyang’s Gothia Cup World Soccer Park covers 860,000 sq m and has 40 football fields, bicycle lanes, runways and football-related sculpture areas. The park also holds 13,000 sq m of artificial lakes, a variety of gardens and other landscapes. A comprehensive sports and leisure park contained in beautiful natural environment, featuring and advanced facilities, the park also provides a large parking lot on its south side.

Liaoning National Fitness Outdoor Activity Base is an industrial base integrating sports and athletic competitions, outdoor fitness events, leisure and tourism, and scientific education. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, the base nevertheless offers a wealth of recreation and entertainment options including bicycle stations, cage soccer arenas, a go-kart arena, a wind tunnel experience, polyhedron climbing and water sports areas.
