2014 Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum

The Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum was founded by He Liehui, chairman of Touchroad International Holdings Group, in 2008.

The Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum is a non-profit and non-governmental international forum, organized and fully sponsored by Touchroad Group.

The forum aims to promote investment in Africa from China and other countries, strengthen trade relationships between Africa and other countries, and boost mutual economic growth for China and Africa.

The forum is held annually in a city either in China or in Africa.

It welcomes government authorities, private entities in China and African countries, representatives of international organizations, and entrepreneurs worldwide. Investing in Africa is the forum’s ongoing theme.

The 2008 Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum was held at Shanghai International Convention Center on March 3 and 4, 2008. Delegations from 18 African countries and international organizations, over 500 Chinese entrepreneurs, and members of more than 30 Chinese and foreign media outlets participated in the event. Attendees reached preliminary intention agreements on over 30 projects during the forum.

The second Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum was held in Shanghai on Sept 28 and 29, 2009. Delegations from 40 African countries and international organizations, over 600 Chinese entrepreneurs from China, Africa, the EU and the US, and more than 40 Chinese and foreign media members attended the forum. Attendees reached preliminary intention agreements on over 50 projects.

The third Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum was held in Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, from Sept 8 to 11, 2010 and attracted 43 delegations representing African countries and international organizations. Participants signed the Hangzhou Declaration in a bid to encourage more Chinese enterprises to invest in Africa.

Delegations from about 50 countries in Africa, Europe and America, as well as international organizations, attended the 2011 Touchroad China-Africa Investment Forum from Sept 26 to 28, 2011. Participants included presidents, ministers, ambassadors to China and about 400 Chinese and African businesspeople. Preliminary cooperation intentions were achieved on more than 30 China-Africa investment projects.
