2011 Touchroad China Africa Investment Forum opens in Hangzhou

The 2011 Touchroad China Africa Investment Forum kicked off in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, on Sept 27, with leaders from Zhejiang Commerce Department attending.

Jin Yonghui, director of the Zhejiang Commerce Department, Victor Sikonina, Madagascar’s ambassador to China, and He Lihui, chairman of Touchroad Group, addressed the opening ceremony.

The theme of the summit was “21st Century: a Century of Africa”. Guests discussed various topics concerning the prospects of China Africa cooperation and the investment opportunities offered by Africa.

It aimed to invite more Chinese businesses to Africa and to promote deeper and broader cooperation between China and Africa.

The summit was sponsored by Touchroad Group who had won the “China-African friendship Awards-ten Chinese Enterprises that have touched Africa”. It attracted representatives from the government, business, media and academic fields in more than 40 African countries, as well as entrepreneurs from over 500 Chinese companies.

After the opening ceremony, the Chinese entrepreneurs exchanged ideas with governmental officials from numerous African countries on common issues.
