Port

The port is known as the oil sentinel of Africa in the western world

Aviation

Djibouti International Airport can handle large passenger and cargo aircraft, and landlocked countries, such as Uganda, depend on it for connections to Europe and handled 123,449 people, in 1996. Djibouti Airlines has 10 international routes.

Railways and highways

Djibouti is linked with the Ethiopian capital via railway, which extends about 106 km. Its highways cover 3,067 km, with 412 km asphalt covered.
