Tai'an hosts first special equipment exhibition

Tai'an city in East China's Shandong province hosted the first International Special Equipment Exhibition from Oct 20 to 23, attracting 20,000 visitors.

Exhibitors displayed products designed for a range of different age groups and people with a variety of interests, including large-sized special vehicles and children's toys.

The exhibition highlighted various fields related to special equipment, including intelligent manufacturing and robotics. Booths also highlighted Tai'an and Shandong's development strategy for the industry, and recent research and development achievements made by local universities.

The first national special equipment achievement commercialization platform was also established during the exhibition, signaling a new phase in the development of Tai'an's special equipment industry. 95 companies have registered as partners in the platform, bringing with them some 50 high-technology inventions.

Sixteen strategic cooperation and trade agreements were signed on the site of the exhibition, cementing deals for future purchases worth 1 billion yuan ($148 million) and 18 future investment programs totaling 2 billion yuan.

Daiyue district of Tai'an city also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with municipal and provincial government agencies collectively to invest 5 billion yuan in developing a 3-square-kilometer high-technology intelligent construction industry base.
