As a variety of celebrations being conducted across the nation to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Taishan district of Tai'an, Shandong province held a patriotic-themed painting and calligraphy activity on August 26. Through the activities, it is expected that participants will go back into history and look forward to building a better world.

As per the theme, the participants relevantly focused on creating works showing retired cadres' emotion while remembering history, cherishing peace and Chinese people's unremitting efforts to achieve the nation's great rejuvenation.
