Mount Wutai holds activities to celebrate World Earth Day

To celebrate World Earth Day, Mount Wutai held a series of events to promote a healthy, sustainable environment as well as climate change, in its national geopark on April 17, according to people.com.cn.

These activities, entitled "Saving resources and advocating green life", ran for the entire week.

Authorities at the geopark used multiple methods to get the environmentally friendly message across in order to help people better understand what they can do to protect the planet for future generations.

The park organized banners, slogans and posters all promoting a healthy message across its facilities and attractions, and handed out informative pamphlets and booklets as well as answering any questions that visitors to the geopark may have had.

Staff also visited schools in the Mount Wutai area and gave talks on how children should grow up with a greater consciousness of the environment and the health of the planet. The efforts made by the staff from the geopark was greatly appreciated by visitors and students alike, who all pledged to participate in looking after the environment and protecting the Earth for the next generation.
