Pingyao puts on show for Lantern Festival

Performers take part in an opening ceremony for a shehuo show (a folk show marking the customs of traditional Chinese festivals) in Pingyao county on Feb 19, in celebration of Lantern Festival. During the show, 14 troupes made up of some 5,000 local residents demonstrated various folk customs such as dragon and lion dances, stilt walking, and yangko (a popular folk dance).
