Festive lanterns worth 50 million yuan ($7.7 million) are lightening up the night of an ancient county in Taiyuan, North China's Shanxi province.
The 3.7-kilometer-long ancient walls are decorated with various lanterns made by 300 craftsmen.
The lanterns will be on show till March 8.
