New railway operation diagram to take effect in Taiyuan

Taiyuan railway station in Shanxi province will carry out a new railway operation diagram on April 16, with adjustments to routes, speeds and train numbers.

Round-trip train No 1095/6 from Taiyuan to Lanzhouxi, Gansu province, will be replaced by No 2095/6 running between Taiyuan to Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

Passengers heading for Lanzhou can take train No Z55 which starts from Beijing West Railway Station. The train will stop at Taiyuan at 19:55 for eight minutes and arrive at Lanzhou at 7:34 the next day.

Three pairs of trains in the province will be upgraded from K level which means a lower speed to Z level which means a higher speed, while the ticket prices remain unchanged. The trains are No. Z7805/6 between Datong and Taiyuan, No. 7835/6 between Taiyuan and Lvliang, and No.Z77837/8 between Taiyuan and Liulinnan.

Intercity trains from Taiyuan to Datong and Lyuliang will be increased to a total of 10 and 16 per day, respectively.
